The birth of my son!

The birth of my son!

– Okay, it is the middle of the night, my water just broke. No more click-bait, this
ain’t a drill motha-truckas. I’m havin’ this baby. What? If you are triggered by amniotic fluid, skip ahead, maybe 10 seconds. If you look on the bed, you
will see a pile of liquid. That is amniotic fluid,
and it gushed out of me, and it gushed all over the floor
on the way to the bathroom. I was feeling horrible
last night, I was crying, couldn’t sleep, I was
just tired, and exhausted, and I was like, I just
wanna have this baby. Well I guess the Lord heard me,
because my water just broke. I’m having really small contractions. I called my doctor, he was
like, go to the hospital. I haven’t packed my bag, we
don’t have a name for our son, we haven’t picked a
pediatrician, we are not ready. It’s December 10th, and our
baby wasn’t supposed to come ’til January 1st, we’re not ready at all. I thought this baby was gonna be late, I thought the earliest he
would come would be Christmas, maybe a couple days before Christmas. He’s definitely coming right now. I don’t know how to function. I need to be packing, I need
to be getting ready to go, I can’t, I’m just
wandering around the house. We need to be going to
the hospital right now, and I’m just wandering around
the house like a maniac. Say goodbye to this tummy. This is the last time you’re
gonna see this tum-tum. This is wild. Oh my God. I feel like most moms in my position would rush to the hospital, but not me, I’ve gotta straighten my hair. Ooh, contraction. (humming) Oh man, I had a plan, I
was gonna go to the doctor on Tuesday, and be like,
how soon can you induce me, do you think you could induce
me the day before Christmas? It is way before Christmas. This baby wants out. Ooh, contraction. Oh man, ouch. (humming) Ow, this one hurts. So anyway– Yeah I am. – [Erik] (laughs) What
are we doing (mumbles). – I’m vlogging, and I’m
straightening my hair, I’m taking my time. Oh, yes. (laughing) I did time them! – How… Okay, ’cause, my– – They’re like a couple minutes apart. Is that when we’re supposed to go? – A couple minutes? – Yeah. – Oh boy. (laughing) – I don’t know how much
more I’m gonna be vlogging after this, guys, so this could be it, and then the next clip I
could be holding a baby, I have no idea. We’re on our way to the
hospital, I’m having contractions very often, and they hurt,
and I am gushing things. Not babies, but liquid-y things. We’re having a baby. – Oh my God. – (laughs) We’re not ready at all. Not that you’re ever ready,
but we’re really not ready. He doesn’t have a name at
all, we don’t have anything, I didn’t pack a bag, I forgot,
I don’t have underwear, I didn’t pack anything, this is a mess. Going to the hospital, I’ll
try to keep you updated, but let’s be honest, I’m in
the middle of having a baby, I don’t have a camera
crew, it’s me, honey, and we’re focusing on having a baby, so we’ll see what happens,
but this is crazy. We’re here. – [Erik] I hate it so much, I hate it more than anything in the world. – (laughs) Well, I’m in labor. Contractions hurt a lot,
in case you were wondering how that feels, they’re really not fun. But everything’s looking
like I’m having a baby, and I’m about to have a
contraction, so goodbye, because I die when I have a contraction. That’s horrible. It’s horrible. This is crazy. It feels like… Just horrible. Like a few days ago in a vlog, I was like, I might have the baby before Christmas. (laughing) I was gonna do a What’s
in My Hospital Bag video. – [Erik] Well, what is
in your hospital bag? – I don’t know what’s in there. I have no idea what you packed frantically at 5:30 in the morning. I can’t believe this is happening. – [Colleen Voiceover] Oh, you know, just a casual day here at the office. – I just wanna get this vlog up, because once people
know that I’m in labor, this vlog ain’t no one’s gonna watch it, they’re gonna be like, where’s
the vlog with the labor? But I’m so sleepy from
the painkillers I have, that I’m literally trying
to edit, and I’m like… – [Rachel] And then you shake your head. – And I’ll like… (laughing) And then I’ll randomly
start a contraction, and I’ll just go, (deep breath) and then Rachel and Erik run over to me, and my laptop is still on my
lap, and I’m still editing, and then I’m like, okay. – It’s literally every
three minutes this happens. – [Rachel] Lookin’ good. – Gucci. – [Erik] No, stop. – Brutal, contractions are brutal. – [Erik] I can see your pee. – Lovely. – [Rachel] That is not
what she wanted us to film. – I am six centimeters dilated. You have to be 10 to push out the baby. I also have the jitters. Been like that for an hour. And have an epidural,
judge me all you want, I am in way less pain,
so I’m really stoked. And the baby’s stoked, he’s
like, get me outta here. And the doctor said he has lots of hair, she felt his little head
of hair, so lookin’ good. Oh, hi. – [Rachel] Got a good lookin’ shoulder. – I’m dying. – [Rachel] Yeah. You’re doin’ great. – I posted a vlog of nothingness, but in the vlog I posted
this little picture, and it’s like for one
second, like half a second, and they all screenshot it. – [Rachel] Well, duh! It’s her in the hospital. – Love. Did you really? – [Rachel] Feedin’ her ice. – Labor is not fun. – [Rachel] Labor is not fun, no. – Ooh, shakey. (chattering teeth) This is so weird, I didn’t
expect this part of it. (chattering teeth) – [Erik] How do you
feel about your peanut? – I don’t like that peanut. They’re making me have a
peanut in between my legs, and I do not like it. It’s not a nice peanut. It makes me very uncomfortable. Don’t like the peanut. I hate the peanut. I just feel a lot of amniotic
fluid coming out of me, and dripping down my butt. – [Erik] Yeah, when I saw your
butt crack before, it was… – Bloody? – [Erik] Bloody. – James Charles Palette says
unleash your inner artist, and that’s just what I’m trying to do, trying to unleash my inner artist. I’m so jittery. (teeth chattering) I can’t move. (teeth chattering) – She’s in a lot of pain, but she’s rockin’ it,
man, she’s rockin’ it. Eight centimeters dilated. Like, that big. I don’t know how big it is. – So we weren’t supposed to have the baby for another three weeks and a day. Finally fell asleep
last night at like 2:30, three in the morning,
and then at 5:30 a.m., Colleen shakes me awake,
and I immediately sit up, ’cause it was strange,
and say, are you okay, and then she says… – My water broke. – [Erik] My water broke. – And he didn’t respond. – And then I just stared
at her for 10 seconds. – And then I go, you’re not dreaming. – And here we are, she’s doing great. Here we are at eight centimeters,
and she’s doing great. – I’m gonna be pushing pretty soon. – [Erik] She’s doing great. – I wanna die, I look so ugly, ew. – [Erik] You look beautiful. – I feel his little head going down. Oh my God, I literally can feel it. That’s so weird. I can feel his head
going down to my vagina. – [Erik] Really? – I literally can. This is so weird. This is the weirdest thing I’ve ever done. Erik’s a champ, he’s been amazing. (mumbles) He’s been so great,
and Rachel’s been so great. – [Erik] You’re doin’ great. – I’m not great. This baby’s comin’ soon, and
I’m getting the jitters again. I feel like if I move at
all, I get really jittery. (teeth chattering) – [Rachel] They said it’s normal though. This one, this goes up, it means
she’s having a contraction. These are all her contractions. – [Erik] Yeah, so this is real-time, and you can see the minutes up here, obviously military time minus 12, so 3:16 to 3:20 she had three. – [Rachel] Now it’s going down. I love how we came over to a monitor instead of helping you
through that, but… (laughs) – I can’t feel the contractions now. I feel, like, pressure,
but that’s kind of it. I feel so tired. I went to bed at two, and
then my water broke at 5:30. – [Rachel] You told the cats! – When my water broke, I
was like, what was that. Daisy came into the
bathroom and was like, meow? I was like, Daisy, I
think my water just broke. She was like, meow? I can only eat ice, I’m so hungry. – [Rachel] I know, we’ll
get you all the foods once the baby’s out of you. – Look how jittery I am,
like that’s not me trying. – [Rachel] Epidural can do that. – Thanks sweetie, I love you. – I love you too. – [Rachel] Kory’s here. – Kory’s here. Kory’s the best. He has been mannin’ the fort at home, getting it ready for the baby. – [Rachel] Mom’s come to say hi. (peaceful guitar music) – [Erik] Thumbs up. How you doin’? – Hmm? – [Erik] You doin’ okay? – [Woman] Baby likes this side. – This is craziness. – [Erik] They got all
ready for him over here. Got a… Little sock and diaper. Contractions. (peaceful guitar music) (whispers) (peaceful guitar music) – [Woman] One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10. – [Rachel] You’re freaking doin’ it. Woo! – [Male Doctor] I want
you to look down, Colleen. Colleen, I want you to look down. – Oh my God, there he is. (sobs) (baby crying) Oh, baby. So crazy. – [Woman] Hi, mama. – [Male Doctor] Where’d your tummy go? (laughing) (uplifting guitar music) – [Man] Congratulations, you guys. – I’m not pregnant anymore, yay! (laughing) – You’re beautiful. – [Rachel] You did it! – [Man] Congratulations. – He’s so cute. (baby crying) – [Rachel] He’s huge! How’d you do that? (laughing) (baby crying) (baby crying) – You look like your daddy. (uplifting guitar music) – Probably a lot of work for you, huh? – [Colleen] (mumbles) all over the world. – You’re gonna have Christmas with us. We’ll get you a little stocking. – How did you do that? – I don’t know. You’re so cute. We have a baby. – [Rachel] You did it, guys. – We did it. – He doesn’t have a name. – [Rachel] Nope, still. You did it. – I did it. – [Rachel] That’s all that matters. – [Colleen] Look at his little
mouth, he sleeps like you. – That’s not how I sleep,
that’s how you sleep. – [Rachel] That’s how we
sleep, Colleen. (laughs) – This is the first time in nine months where I’ve felt like myself. – [Rachel] Awesome. – Myself plus more. (peaceful piano melody) – [Erik] First meal
after the baby is born, of course, has to be In-N-Out. – And it was the last
meal, it’s what I ate last night for dinner. – [Erik] Oh my gosh. – Oh my God, it’s so good, I’m so hungry. (laughing) That’s how I was able to push him out. I was like, I want a cheeseburger. – He’s just so tiny. (uplifting instrumental music) – Cutie. – [Rachel] Cuties.
