Photoshop Editing – Sunset Photography | Live Stream Replay

you we got audio now do we have audio can
you guys hear me let me know there’s always an issue with stream labs OBS
that it always just kind of messes up right as I go on so what’s going on guys
let me start again my name is Josh I am Josh Russell comm youtube-dot-com
forward-slash – Josh Trussell every Monday night 7 p.m. central we do one of
these live streams of some editing so these are kind of no you know no plans
no no plans no filters no anything well there’s a lot of filters but they’re
mostly in the computer if you’re new to this and you never check this out before
please hit the subscribe button and the Bell notification that way you get
notified when I do these awesome things like this I’m just gonna give a few
minutes let some people kind of mosey on in here
and we’re going to do some live editing with you guys show you my techniques my
tips and tricks as far as how I edit a photo from start to finish last week you
saw me do the one of Kris shown this week I actually this past week Wednesday
through Sunday I was in Fort Myers Florida we did quite a few photo shoots
I shot a music video while I was down there I’m gonna take you through a
couple of photos that I shot with my friend Suzy the ever so beautiful Suzy
and we shot photos of her on the beach at sunset and we’re gonna edit a couple
of those if you following on Instagram or my facebook page you have seen them
as I said I put one picture online from that other than that we’re going to edit
two new ones that I have not even touched yet and let’s see what we can do
these so like I said we’ll give a few more minutes why guys are coming in here
let me know who you are in the chat say what’s up say hi leave me a comment
let’s just chat while I’m doing these edits if you have any questions please
feel free to ask I will help you any way that I can if I know the answer or if
you need me to jump a deeper into what I’m doing and kind of explain as I do
these edits just let me know and I will be more than happy to try to clarify
that for you we’ll let you guys know that I might not
look like it on the screen because the light is pretty bright but I got some
decent color on me and I think I’m one of only three people in Wisconsin to
have a Sun Tan in January the only the other two would be the two guys that
were with me want to give a big shout out to what is that guy I’ll give a big
shout out to my guy JDM he is a photographer out of Maryland yes out of
Maryland and he is our new moderator his name is Josh as well but we’ll just call
him JDM and he is a photographer videographer what else does he do he’s
an artist he creates figure action figures he’s
just a general all-around amazing artist if you haven’t checked him out check him
out but he is our moderator now he will be moderating these live streams all
right I think we’re gonna get right into it here and we are going to edit a
couple photos so this is these are they’re gonna be the two photos I don’t
know if you noticed or not but I got some new overlays and stuff like that
and the new intro and the break and all of that well I’m all excited about those
but we’re going to get into it so these are the two photos we’re gonna be
editing today this is two different photos of Suzy here and we’re just going
to kind of see if we can get through both of these in about an hour might not
be able to the one on the right this one right here is gonna be a lot quicker of
an edit because it’s already pretty badass the way it is so I mean there’s
not gonna be a lot of editing done to it maybe a little bit of color overlay but
I mean even I mean her eyes are are popping already we don’t really don’t
really need to do much to this photo as you can see she already looks beautiful
but we will let’s get let’s just do this one and then we’ll jump back and we’ll
do the which is gonna take a little bit more
work so let’s uh start off by doing what I always do and that’s click the auto
button in Lightroom once again I should mention I’m going to
be editing these with Adobe Lightroom adobe photoshop topaz studio and color
effects Pro color effects Pro I have one day left on my my demo and then I’m
gonna have to buy it tomorrow so I figured I’d get my full free evaluation
out of it before I went and bought it topaz studio I went and bought today
actually because my demo ran out so first thing we do hit that Auto button
see what it does I like it already doesn’t do too much detail problems it
looks good and we shot this on a whim as we were
leaving and what all we did was just stop next to a palm tree and they had
rope lights all the way up their palm tree in Fort Myers Beach like the
downtown area of Fort Myers Beach there was music there was a magician and I
actually filmed the magician set send it overhead to him one of my travel vlogs
that’s coming up this week actually has a little snippet of what I what I filmed
from him I never met him before he asked me to film it great guy
his name is George Gilbert fantastic and actually he is from nope he was from
Boston I was gonna say he’s from Baltimore but he’s not he was from
Boston I think I have to go back and watch I don’t know maybe he was from
Baltimore anyway color effects Perot I didn’t mention it in last week’s live
but I always do edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments from right here so
that’s going to bring this up that way you always keep your original version
and you still have a new one to work with did it open there it goes so it’s going to bring up detail
extractor like always I always added all my photos with detail extractor it’s
just it’s awesome what it can do I don’t want to go that strong with this one
because this is a you know a pretty girl we don’t want to blow her out like all
crazy like that so we’re actually going to turn that down just a little bit and
let me go to the floor and I know it looks like she already has
way too much detail but we will go back and we will fix some of that so I want
to be able to have the detail where I want the detail and not where I don’t
want other the blurriness will be blurry so okay so we got that far really easy
and then our next step is to go into topaz studio once again at it was a copy
with Lightroom adjustments even though these weren’t Lightroom adjustments I
did them in color color effects Pro it’s still an adjustment I know right off the
bat one of these things I’m going to do later is get rid of this green blob and
make it yellow because I do not like it whatsoever run away photo has to open till classes
open get rid of this all right next up clarity now this is where we’re going to
start getting rid of some of this I made it a little too little to cray-cray
honor trying to bring her clarity down a
little bit so as you can see I’m already bringing
some of that detail out again which I want to do bringing vibrance up a little bit and
then we’re going to bring if you got too far you just make it all crazy so we
won’t go too far with this one there we go just simple little tweaks that’s all
you got to do to it to get it to look good I will put the links to this
program and two color effects Pro down in the description when this is
rebroadcast it on my face around my YouTube page so if you are watching it
now that is topaz studio and it was color effects Pro those are the two
extra programs I use besides the Adobe suite so alright we got our next version
in here we’re going to bring it into Photoshop now norine so I can already see a couple
places I’m gonna want to fix on this I’m gonna want to fix right here because
it’s kind of darker it looks kind of muddy
there’s also another little dark spot here there is a probably what is like a
mole or a freckle right there there’s a couple here there’s some makeup over
here that I want to get rid of there’s like no bags under our eyes in this
photo so that we don’t have to worry about that but there are a couple other
areas that we need to touch up so we’re gonna add two layers first layer we’re
gonna call blur second layer we’re gonna call texture and we’re gonna turn that
texture layer go down to the blur layer hit filter blur Gaussian blur and what
we’re doing right now is we’re doing that frequency separation that I always
talk about that I learned from Glenn doiis and so we could do a five percent
blur on that then we go to this when we turn the texture back on we hit apply
image image apply image drop down we’re gonna go blur we’re gonna make sure it
says add and invert so you got a weird gray screen you can kind of see some of
the detail in here that’s what you want it to look like and then you want to
drop down into linear light so now we got linear light going we’re gonna get
in here and we’re gonna start kind of cleaning up this photo just a little bit
it’s the first thing I want to do is I want to get rid of some of these
blemishes and just like last week some of this stuff is needs to be touched up
on both ends some of you can just get rid of you just
with texture so I’m you gotta go in and kind of touch up the other areas will
heal a little bit here and see if we can heal that there we go
all right looks such this one up let’s see if that one so that’s gonna be
detail then then down here there was one I’ll see if we can just get rid of that
like that there we go so everything else looks pretty good let’s see if we here
is on this texture here like I said don’t worry too much about
the fact that it looks kind of awkward right now because we will go in and
clean that up as well I just want to get rid of some of that
hair right now make the hairline look a little bit better not that her hairline was bad just the
wind was blowing and kind of better I created an awkward look there alright so
we got that cleaned up a little bit you can zoom out see as you can see there’s
a light spot but we’re going to fix that right now we’re going to do a little bit
more blurring here so I got the lasso tool feather and 11 pixels that way it
creates nice smooth movements we are on the blur layer and we’re going to just
go see and blur this we’re going to bring this up until you don’t have to
look too glassy but you do want to get rid of some of those lines so there we
go bring this down run this through the
gauntlet here basically what you’re doing is you’re
blurring this without really hurt in the detail too much you’re blurring more of the color than
the detail and then if you want to go back in and fix some stuff in the detail
that’s when you go down here and you do it with your detail OOP all right so you can see the difference and there’s still a little bit of a spot
here that I wouldn’t mind kind of picks it up which I can do now let’s actually
fix her neckline here a little bit it was getting kind of chilly so I can kind
of see some goosebumps starting here which we don’t want all right our next
step is to do a little dodging and burning and that’s what’s gonna fix this
area right here so ctrl alt shift e I don’t know the command option shift e
maybe on Mac but and that’s actually not what I wanted to do but we needed that
layer so we’ll just leave that layer off for now we’ll call that eyes but we’re
not going to work on that layer right now we’re gonna go back under eyes and
we’re gonna hit a new layer we’re gonna fill it and we’re gonna fill it with 50%
gray and then we’re going to turn the blend mode to linear light all right now
we’re gonna go on a Dodge and burn a little bit like I said last week you can
go in and dodging is gonna brighten that stuff up burning is going to darken the
stuff so we’re gonna just kind of Dodge and burn some of this if you hold in the
alt button while you’re in the Dodge that actually turns the blur function on and like I said last week you don’t want
to do too much because you don’t want to make her look weird like that’s just
weird so honestly that’s probably all I’d really do I may be done hearing this maybe someone actually over here on this
log to just kind of give that log a little bit of detail alright so as you
can see we’ll go back here we’ll look at our before photo then our after photo so
far didn’t do too much just kind of cleaned up a little bit blur that a little bit more and let’s uh
let’s darken the hair a little bit all right next up we’re gonna do it let
me Flip down here a little bit so you see like there’s a couple little shadows
here and I actually want to try to fix here if I can there we go
I am much happier with that now all right so our next step is going to
be try to get in there clean those eyes up bring this new layer we’re gonna hit
control you bring up the hue/saturation we’re going to colorize this and we’re
gonna leave this whatever color we want right now because that’s not gonna
matter we’re gonna give her pink eyes for right now and come in we’re going to
create a layer mask here just so you guys know if I’m going to way too fast
for you it’s because I’ve done this a ton of times and I’m trying to just get
through it you guys can go back and slow it down and watch this video over and
over again if you need to save it into a playlist on YouTube if that’s what
you’re into and just you know take your time watch what I’m doing go back try it
you know tweak the settings to your like liking and just keep going all right so
I got a mask we’re gonna hit control and turn that mask black then we’re going to
go and we’re going to get our brush tool which is B but I always for some reason
actually hit it and we’re going to set our defaults and make sure we have white
as our primary which is right here we’re going to color in our eyes I got a little a little close there so
oh I just do there we go I went over a little bit don’t want to
go over you don’t want any weird bleed soozee already has really pretty she
said when we did this photoshoot she said my eyes are just really dark
there’s there’s not much to them and I’m like girl please that light that 8200
that will bring out some color don’t you worry about it all right so there we go
we got some pink eyes I see another little spot here all right we don’t want
to leave it pink but we do want to sharpen it here so we’re gonna go in
here we’re going to just kind of get some sharpness in there in these eyes all right all right now we’re going to add a
hue/saturation adjustment to the this layer only so what you want to do is you
want to click the adjustments hit the use that hue/saturation like I did then
you want to actually hit this button which make sure it only works on the
layer below it so it’s only going to work on the eyes layer so we can even
call this eyes or eye color and then this is where we’re going to change
these to be what we want them to look like and like I said I don’t want them
too much I just want to kind of give her a little bit of pop in her eyes here you know if I wanted to give her just
beautiful blue eyes we can go ahead and give her beautiful blue eyes here I’m actually kind of like her with blue
eyes maybe well maybe we’ll leave Suzy hit let suzi have blue eyes in this
photo I kind of like how its how its popping off I will give her some nice walnut’ eyes
all right so now we need to add another layer here a merge layer so ctrl alt
shift E which what that does is that takes every layer below it and stacks
them creates one new layer here so alright and then we’re gonna
duplicate that because we’re gonna give this that plastic look that I like oh
actually let’s not do that yet so let’s do green light fix all right so what
we’re gonna do here is we’re going to kind of fix this light right here the
way we’re gonna do that we’re gonna give it a hue/saturation let’s do that wrong
that’s really you here we go and then we will layer mask that Oh uh-oh what’s going on spinning wheel I
don’t like you I don’t know what happened but I got a
spinning wheel there we go and I will just mask it out and as you can see it’s kind of getting
a little funky there on the edge so I’m just gonna take this see if I can call
it a manually can I get rid of some of that a little
bit here so there we go now we got a nice yellow
ball and I know there is still some pink there I will fix that later don’t worry
now back up we’ll delete this one we will merge the layers again and we will
duplicate that blank that one out we’re gonna give it that nice yeah I’ll actually do that
that’s kind of what I did so as you can see what this is doing is
this is a given at that plasticky look that I like to give and
then I go in and I take it out so I put it in and then I just kind of give some
details back here this photos looking good looking good
we’re gonna add a new adjustment layer we’re gonna add a color LUT or lookup
table we’re going to add another one we’ll go
edgy amber and we’ll add another one oops let
another one go foggy night so that’s kind of my look
right there and I could probably almost be done but we’re gonna add a little bit
more I’m gonna get some of this color back into this by adding another
adjustment layer and bringing the levels up yeah those are those all the Lots
that I use I should have mentioned that all the Lots that I use what’s going on
Jaden all the Lots that I use are built into Photoshop I haven’t added any I
have some that I’m making right now that I’m going to be putting on here and I’m
going to be selling on my page on my Shopify account but as of right now
everything that I use is actually what’s on Photoshop when you get it or if you
have the new version so then we’re going to add another adjustment layer for
vibrance and then so now this is where I’m gonna
get a little funky with it and I’m gonna actually create another layer and I’m
going to kind of add some crazy colors to this and just see it may work it may
not I don’t know it’s just kind of something that I wanted to play with
when I looked at this photo so what I’m going to do is I’m going to create a new
layer we’re gonna create a new layer and we are going to fill that layer with a
crazy color let’s just fill it with pink here all right now we’re going to take
the adjustment layer and we’re going to that is not what I wanted to do Oh make sure I’m on linear here alright so
that looks weird you can tell but what you want to do now is you want to start
playing with the with the layer style or blend modes and that’s where you’re
gonna get something cool so so it looks like overlays the way to go then we’re
gonna turn this down and then I want to do another layer here on the opposite
side with like a it’s not really the color blue I wanted but we’ll see if we
can make that work so same bucket layer mask gradient and then we’ll just turn the opacity
down a little bit so as you can see what I did is I created an entirely new feel
to the photo just by adding some gradient overlays and stuff like that
and filling it in and then turning the opacity down so as you can see I’ll turn
this one down just a little bit more and then we’ll go ahead and turn the Brad
the vibrance up of this one so then you can see the original photo
here and then what it looks like when I’m done with it and if you you feel
like you went a little too far with it and you want to take this blue you know
maybe you don’t want the blue as harsh as I have it here maybe you want to take the pink out a
little bit all right so that’s that’s my that’s my
done portrait of this one so we’re gonna save it what that’s gonna do is it’s
going to save the adjustments that I’ve added and then it’s gonna put it right
back in Lightroom I can do my final touches on it and then this photo is
pretty much done and then we’ll move on to the other one saving it does take a minute or two so
while I got this time if you haven’t yet please make sure you hit that subscribe
button the bail notification and the thumbs up leave me a comment and join
the chat too I’m gonna be doing these every Monday night at 7 p.m. central
these live editing it’s not always gonna be portraits some weeks it’s gonna be
you know landscape photography sometimes it’ll be a commercial photo retouching
product photos it could be a little bit of anything I want to be able to do
these live sessions that way you guys can learn the skills that I have learned
over the years and and try to you know incorporate it and what you do so alright so the last little touches we’re
going to do back here is I’m probably going to be hazed this just a little bit
and then we will bring up the exposure a little bit and we’re gonna bring up this
saturation a little bit I mean overall I feel like this this photo is is about
where I want it to be the only other thing that I might do is add a radial this is the way I do my vignettes
instead of just adding the you know let me let me just exit out of here and I’ll
kind of walk that through yet through with you so instead of just going down
here in Lightroom and hitting I don’t know uh
this cropping vignette increa Lee corny so the way that I do it is I actually
use the radiate radial filter and I will create my own right around I don’t know
what that is let’s get rid of that Oh don’t do that don’t delete your photo
Josh says that’s the way our JDM says that’s the way he does it as well so I’m
not the only fool that does it this way I guess so a radial filter we’re going
to kind of do it around the face here and I just like to do it just a little
bit I don’t I don’t really like to add a crazy event yet I just want I just want
to draw a little bit of attention to the eye so that’s why I do it like this and
that’s going to be my portrait for this Susie photo that is what it looks like
that is done we added some pink to it we added some blue to it we fix the skin a
little bit we got rid of some blemishes and I can actually show you right absolutely you can sew like Josh
said you can aim where you want it yourself and that’s helpful so this is
going to be your before and after of the photo before is on the left after is on
the right I mean there’s nothing wrong with the before photo it’s just not my
style it’s not the Josh Russell feel and you know some people might like the
harshness of the original I like to get in and kind of make mine a little more
artsy fartsy and do some effects to it and stuff so that’s how that looks
I am super happy with that photo we’re going to export that and put it in my
Dropbox and no watermarks because I want to put this on my Instagram page and I
do not like watermarks on Instagram I think it looks tacky and terrible all
right next photo we’re going to do is we’re going to work on this one right
here this is a good photo I like it a lot but there are a couple little things I
want to fix on it so we ready go in here we’re going to just exact same process
as I just did just with a different photo we’re going to do a couple little
different effects to this one to kind of give it some more Flair – so Claire
effects pro the the effects that I do in color effects Pro and topaz are almost
identical to every single portrait I do just with a little bit of detail or you
know percentages ratios turned up or down but until I get into Photoshop
Photoshop is really where I start manipulating the photo I was on such a good roll nothing had
music on it until just now nothing had words on it I should say all these
photos were shot with a sony a7 3 with an 85 millimeter 1.8 shot this one @f
2.0 ISO 185 millimeters 1/100 of a second I had the god ox ad 200 flash
thing is awesome for like $350 wireless flash high-speed sync just an amazing
product it’s kind of weak when it comes to full daylight type shooting but it’s
definitely better than any sort of speed light that I’ve ever worked with I can actually show you what the guy ox
looks like while this is loading so this is the guide ox 8200 the ad 200
and what it is is it’s a wireless flash system that is a little bit bigger than
a speedlight get this right up here so you guys can see it move my face and my
face isn’t in it the ad 200 and what it does is it has you know all your program
on the back of it so there’s no flash on it right now so it won’t turn on but it
and then it has different attachments to it so as a speedlight attachment it
actually has a bulb attachment as well and this bulb attachment I have the
mushroom on it let me see if I can pop this off without breaking the ball here
so it actually has a bulb and it’ll just clip right on to just like this now all
the stuff will work and then you can change it it’s Wireless transmitted to
my flash with a wireless transmitter or receives from my flash with my camera
with a wireless transmitter and then this little mushroom guy goes right on
here somewhere and just like that then you have a flash that will pretty much beat the hell out of the
sunlight and that’s how I got a lot of these that is entirely up to you Josh if
you want to wait or not here’s the problem I have with buying the brand new
cameras when they first come out they try to stuff a ton of features into them
and they don’t really fully know what’s gonna work with each other that a 7-3
however it may be a fluke or may they finally got their you know crap together
but it I bought it the day it came out I can’t be more than you know pleased with
it is amazing I love the camera I love the lenses I love everything about it
it’s entirely up to you the upside the downside of that is you will have the
brand new features the downside or another upside is the if you want the 87
3 the price will be lowering soon so or at least I assume it will be with them
at releasing a new model I assume the price will go down a little bit on this
at least right at the time when they release because they want to you know
kind of give that sale but I tell every single photographer I know to buy the a7
3 unless you want to buy like the you know the a9 or something like that but
the a7 3 is a phenomenal camera and I have no complaints yet both in photo and
video I just I absolutely love that that thing all right naari now we’re gonna get over and go
into Photoshop so we have edited in the color effects we’ve edited in topaz and
we’re gonna take it over to photoshop and really start hammering some action
on it all right so we will add our two layers there we got blur
we got texture to do that frequency separation again filter blur Gaussian
blur turn that to five then we’re going to add the texture apply image do a
little frequency separation layer blur whoops there we go sorry sorry guys appreciate
you Josh thank you for letting me know all right so what I did is I added layer
layer and then we’re in the Gaussian blur 5% now we’re in the apply image
sorry layer blur invert add to zero then we are going to linear light that all
right now if I had a stream deck that wouldn’t
happened I would have been able to see so I think I need to buy myself a stream
deck clean up the skin just a little bit here see if you weren’t here Josh I would
have probably just sat here and talked for the next 20 minutes and not even
known alright so we’re gonna go in here and fix some of these other little spots
here so we got to do two sections here so I’m gonna go in and I’m gonna fix all
these the clone stamp here then we’ll go in with the detail do the same thing you want to know what the music I’m
using is it is from a website called epidemic sound I pay for a monthly
subscription for this $15 per YouTube channel unlimited usage for whatever
songs you want that are on there Oh as photos really getting cleaned up
nice I like it a lot and this one we’re really gonna add some
features to here I can already tell what I want to do to it so it’s kind of a mixture between both
spa healing and frequency separation on what I urge about healing and clone
stamp for what I do to my photos a little bit of chapped lips there but I
think that’ll be okay once I started adding some stuff to it all right so
we’re gonna add a new layer here I think I’m at a point where I’m good with this
one fill 50% gray and we will fill it then we will turn it to linear light get
our Dodge and burn and this is where we’re gonna start kind of fixing some
more of the dark and some of the areas up lighting some of the areas up if
there are any like weird like spots where you feel that it shouldn’t be
light go ahead or where should we start go ahead and fix that now add some
darkness in two colors here or in the clothes I should say across some of
these creases it kind of just adds a little bit of pop to the photo without
you even really notice in it you know it’s one of those things that you know
if you’re not looking for it you probably wouldn’t notice it but once
it’s there it really does fix a lot of stuff and I kind of accentuate the
womanly areas here and then we have a some type of something there actually um
let’s try hey alright how do I do that content aware move so we’re going to
take this area right here already get it out of there
Oh actually we won’t be able to do that what am I talking about just kidding
we’ll just clone it out so I did that we’re gonna go ahead and do the detail
there and it’s on so dodge a burn layer didn’t do much just kind of accentuate
some of the facial features a little bit and down on their clothing no all right
new layer what do we need to do here we need to let’s actually this is where
we can change your eyes to a different color let’s let’s make our blue eyed
girl here so it will control you color it whatever we want for right now I
already have it set up a blue layer mask invert that layer mask so it’s not there zoned out here bring it in come in nice and close we
are going to bring the flow down to about 20% and I should say that my
hardness is at zero when I do this – let’s bring the flow up a little bit
that’s a little yeah we’re just kind of painting along
here and we’re gonna sharpen the eyes up and then we will add a color adjustment
layer to a hue/saturation hit this tick that so it only changes that and this is
where we will manipulate our eyes here so you don’t want to do this
like do I do anything crazy you just want to kind of and as you can see that looks a little
bit on the weird side so what I like to do is get it to where I want it and then
bring the opacity down a little bit on this this layer bring the opacity down a
little bit mouth 15% let’s go it’s not doing much
to the eyes just kind of make them a little little bling here let’s call it we’re going to create a new merged layer
here multiply that so this is going to be our plastic and this is going to be
our oh what do I call this let’s call it crisp filter reduce noise all right now we’re going to start
adding our lutz here so adjustment and then at what you want to tick is you
want to tick that little checkerboard looking thing on there right I’m going
to leave this one a little strong but then what I’m going to do is I’m going
to actually because it is a gray deal filter or smart filter mask I’m going to
actually kind of leave it on now we’re gonna create another one so now what I’ve done is I’ve kind of
gave it a little bit of a sunny look to it it looks like the Sun is coming down
over here or the Sun is coming down over here now we’ll go ahead and we’ll throw a
normal one over let’s go all fall colors let’s do another one here and we’ll do Li sunset now what I want to do with it because I
want it to be purple kind of more around her not just on heroin and what I’m
gonna do then is I’m going to actually take and I’m going to mask this so I’m
gonna go in and make sure my hardness is all the way down I’m going to turn this
flow to real light like 20% then I’m going to start coloring it off of her
because I don’t really want it on here her that much what that’s going to do is
it’s going to allow her colors to kind of come through so now you can see the difference that
made and I could go in there and I can clean it up a lot more but I do want a
little bit of cast from that that way it doesn’t look too unbelievable but I just
kind of want to clean it up – that photo is close to being done I like the way it
looks right there the only thing I do is you know now I go in and I raise the
levels a little bit so it brightens it up a little bit then I do the vibrance
and saturation bring that up a little bit so this photo got more of a Miami
Vice feel to it that down and you can do that the same way that I
did that you can do that with the when you do the black and white gradient map
it’s like if you wanted a black and white but then you wanted to I’m just
showing you I’m gonna take this off but if you want it to that would be how you
do this as well so if you wanted to blur the photo a little bit believe your
subject more in color so that’s kind of how you would do that that’s just a
really quick terrible version of it but that’s what you want to do alright so
this is pretty much done not much more I do to this and we’re going to save it
and then we’ll go over we’ll finish it up in Lightroom all right so we will put the exposure a
little bit bring the contrast in a little bit now we’re gonna add our
radial filter and bring that down a little bit I know this is like an
extremely like really edited a photo really kind of far out colors but I
think it works and I think it looks really good like that it’s it’s not too
unbelievable it just it’s just a really artistic looking photo will crop that
down a little bit and actually my horizons just a tad off there’s you and that ladies and gentlemen is all
that she wrote for this photo that’s done that is how I would send that out
that is a Josh Russell look from start to finish on something like this so we
did two different style shoots here we did this one with the straight-up
portrait and we did this one which is a lot more really artistic II this one we
did add some color in it and then this one we did as well but we did it a
little different two different ways to add color to your photos and make them
pop and make them your own style this is something that you need to adapt to your
own look it’s you know I did this on the fly it might not work for you on every
photo that you do every portrait but it’s something you can play around with
and that’s kind of why I do these videos is not so you can exactly copy what I do
but so you can take some of this knowledge mix it in with your photos and
your editing style and create something of your own and just make it look
amazing and make it your own make it however you want and send it away just
like that that is going to be it for me tonight it’s been an hour I got to get
