Zoe! Can we talk about Bra-ziers?
Yes! Because when you’re pregnant, they are a minefield.
Because your boobs change so much and very quickly. Yep. I found that I actually really wanted
to get a new bra quite quickly. Quite early on. My breasts were kind of swelling and felt
a bit tender and things were digging in. So, it was one of the first things that I bought
actually. I found out that I was pregnant because of
my boobs. Because I was shopping and I was, ‘Oh, what’s going on here?’ and they were
just so big so fast. Then I took a pregnancy test because of that. I knew that something,
it was extraordinary. Yeah, a lot of people say that I think. So, exhibit A. Is a pregnancy bra. Because
I think that some women might think that, that they can stay in their regular bras but
the advice is: to get rid of underwire. Because your boobs are kicking into actions, starting
to work out how to produce milk. And these lovely numbers haven’t got underwire but they
do have support. And quite a nice thick elastic band. And a bigger band at the top. Strap. They look good, and they’ve got lots of fastenings
on the back. Yes. Are you ready for bra number two.
I’m ready. Here it is. This very cute crop top number. Yep.
I had one of those. i found that my breasts were hurting in the
night. When you lay on them. And wearing one of those, it really helped. It was really comfortable. And you can use
these when the baby has come out, because they have clasps and you can use them for
breast feeding. When would you transition to this kind of
bra? I had this towards the end of my pregnancy
and then the kind of, probably the first few months of having my kids. Like definitely
in the night, when your breasts are, kind of, the milk is coming in and out. And it
made them very comfortable. I liked having those. and last but not least, your classic nursing
bra. Lovely, padded, t-shirt bra style. Yep. Very
popular but with the brilliant clasps. Situation. Yep.
And again, a bigger supportive straps. And you can shove lots of breast pads in there. Exactly, I have a theory as well about nursing
bras. And that it’s probably a bra that’s actually going to be seen by more people than
any other bra you’ve owned. Do you know what I mean? Because you don’t
normally just get your bra out. But when you’re breastfeeding you do. You really do! So get a nice one! Get one that you like. And that’s washable.
You don’t want to be doing any fancy hand washing stuff, you don’t have time for that.
But you will need to wash this bra more than any other bra you’ve owned. You need two minimum. You need one on you, and one in the wash.
And that’s going to be some heavy rotation. Definitely.
So, braziers, in brief, are – Get rid of the underwire.
Get a bra you like. And get enough that you can have some in the wash and some on you. And get fitted regularly because your breasts
change so much over the course of your pregnancy. And beyond. Your size will change, your shape,
everything. So go into store and get measured. Once again, comfort is king.
