How To Dress Your Newborn Baby | Mothercare Baby Advice


in this video I am going to show you how to dress a newborn baby. and I am also going to show you some of the clothing you might need. the first thing we are going to put on, is a body suit. we’re going to put that over the baby’s head. Just stretch it nice and big. When they are
tiny, they do grip their hands quite tightly. Then push the other arm through. Just talk
to your baby as you are doing this, going along. lift up the baby’s legs. Straighten up the body suit and then
tuck it under the baby’s nappy. And fasten it into place. then you need to do the sleepsuit, again, you can stretch that to go over their arms. pull it through. Its okay to be
a little bit firm, with baby when you are putting this on. Then just roll baby over
on their side, then pull the little bit through. Then pop the little hand through. push it through. the sleepsuit onto the legs, especially considering
they do hold their hands quite tightly and close to their body. Be talking to your baby
as you do this. As they get nice and warm again they tend to calm down and
get a bit quieter, and start listening to what you are saying. the little scratch mittens that are in the
sleepsuit. It keeps their hands nice and cosy and warm if they are feeling a little bit
cold. There we go! All dressed. This is a this is a bundler, a little night dress, which is really
handy to have. It’s got a little gathering at the bottom, to keep the toes warm. It’s
good for nighttime changing. It also has little turnover scratch mitts, to keep hands nice
and warm. Very useful! There are also some other items which are useful for baby. A little
cotton hat, fantastic for using outside. When you’re going in the car as well, nice and
cosy to use on baby. Little scratch mitts or mittens keep hands nice and warm when going
out. Bodysuits are essential items to have, cardigan to use for baby. When it’s very cold
in winter time you may need something like a snowsuit.
