Fifth Third Bank Maternity Concierge: Katie

Fifth Third Bank Maternity Concierge: Katie

My favorite thing about being a mom is just
the joy that it brings to me. We had our first daughter two years ago, she
just turned 2, and then surprisingly had twin girls eight months ago so life is a little
crazy sometimes but fun. It’s a lot of emotions, and sometimes you’re
really happy, sometimes you’re really sad, and all in all it’s probably the best thing
that I’ve ever experienced in my life. I have been with Fifth Third for almost ten
years now, but I’ve been a financial center manager for the past three years. Part of my job is to coach and to really develop
my employees. Fifth Third has been so good to me and helping
me develop and get to where I need to be, that I want to do that and help my employees
as well. I think the most challenging part of working
and being a mother is just, when I’m at work I’m at work, and when I’m at home
I’m at home. The biggest challenge is just making sure
things are planned, people are called, making appointments, getting to the grocery. The Maternity Concierge Program can help you
with meal planning, they can find activities that are good for any children that are 1
or under, planning doctor’s appointments, planning birthday parties. That’s time and stress on you that you don’t
want to do that after work, but yet they are able to do that for you while you’re working
so you can go home and see your kids right away. I think there’s been many times that I’ve
thought, should I keep working or should I stay home? Because you constantly, as a mother, are pulled
each way. I think this program has really helped me
feel that Fifth Third cares and Fifth Third is supportive. I plan on staying with Fifth Third the rest
of my life. I also want my girls to look at me and say,
you know what, she did it, she was successful, she had a great career, and I want them to know that they can do anything that they want to do as well.
